What we shoot
Food and product. Menus, packaging, catalogues and launches, styled and lit so the texture comes through, like the cake and eclair shoots for cafés in Colombo 07. Architecture and interiors. Homes, apartments, hotels, cafés and showrooms for developers, interior designers and real estate, including the Maharagama Residence, Orwell Residency in Colombo 03 and apartments in Mount Lavinia. Vehicles. Cars and handovers for dealers like Jaguar Land Rover and Access Motors. Corporate events. Launches, conferences and people at work.
For spaces we often shoot film and stills on the same day. A new café and mini-mart fitted out by an interior design firm got both a short film and a set of interior photographs, and for CapitalTrust we shot a residential tower’s handover alongside its walkthrough films.
How we shoot
We bring a full professional kit: high-resolution camera bodies, prime lenses, studio strobes and modifiers, gels and backdrops, plus LED panels for location work, scaled up for larger productions. We also shoot model and fashion work, and headshots and team portraits on a portable studio set. Every image is retouched and colour-corrected in-house and delivered in web and print sizes.
Weddings and family portraits are not shot here: those are made by our sister studio, Embrace.

Restaurants, cafés and bakeries updating a menu or a delivery app. Manufacturers and retailers launching a product. Developers, architects, interior designers and hotels showing a finished space. Car dealers. And companies that need clean photographs of their team, office and events for the website, the annual report and LinkedIn.
Studios in Colombo and Kandy
We work from two bases: Colombo (405/1 Gathotuwa Rd, Colombo 10600) and Kandy (21/142 Aruppola, Kandy 20000). Crew and kit travel island-wide, from Colombo boardrooms and showrooms to hill-country estates around Kandy and Nuwara Eliya, and down to Galle and the south coast. Filming in Sri Lanka from abroad? Do you shoot on location or in a studio?
Both. Interiors, architecture and vehicles are shot on location; food and product can be shot at your premises or at ours, with our own lighting.
Do you edit and retouch the photos?
Yes. Every image is retouched and colour-corrected in-house and delivered ready for web, print and social media.
Can you shoot photos and video on the same day?
Yes, and it saves time and budget. We did exactly that for a new café and mini-mart in Maharagama: a short film and a set of interior photographs from one visit.
Do you photograph weddings?
Weddings and personal celebrations are photographed by our sister studio, Embrace, at embrace.flomonotio.com.
