From idea to airtime
A good ad is one idea, said clearly, that people remember. We start there: the one thing your customer should feel or know, then the concept, script and storyboard that get it across in 15, 30 or 60 seconds.
Then we make it: casting, locations, art direction, a lit shoot with our own crew and cinema cameras, and the edit, grade, sound and graphics in-house. You get masters for TV and every cut you need for the platforms, in the right shape: 16:9 for broadcast and YouTube, square and vertical for Facebook and Instagram.
Ads we have made
For Indra Traders we made a workshop TVC in English and Sinhala and a BMW film. For Sakura Solar, a TV ad alongside their factory film. For Park Street Gourmet in Colombo, a food ad. We have also made a summer shopping ad for Kadapatha by Crescat, and “A #NewLook for a new decade” for Raux Brothers. For Jaguar Land Rover we made the Defender Album, a stop-motion piece for social.
Where it helps, we cut Sinhala or Tamil versions from the same shoot, so one production can reach the whole market.
Not every ad is 30 seconds. For Abans we produced a cooking show series with its own custom jingle, and for Tantri a run of promo videos and ads, including a film on their train manufacturing. For Kaizoft, a US software company, we made a product demo video and an animated explainer, delivered remotely.
What you get
A broadcast master at the length you book, plus the cut-downs and formats you ask for: shorter 15- and 6-second versions, square and vertical edits for Facebook and Instagram, and versions with Sinhala or Tamil text and voice-over. Each one is graded and mixed for where it will play, so the ad looks and sounds right on a TV or a phone.
Colombo, Kandy and on location
We work from two bases: Colombo (405/1 Gathotuwa Rd, Colombo 10600) and Kandy (21/142 Aruppola, Kandy 20000). Do you handle the concept and script?
Yes. We can take a brief and bring back the idea, script and storyboard, or produce a concept your agency already has.
Can you deliver versions for TV and social media?
Yes. We deliver the broadcast master plus cut-downs and vertical and square versions for YouTube, Facebook and Instagram from the same shoot.
Do you make Sinhala and Tamil versions?
Yes. The Indra Traders workshop TVC ran in English and Sinhala, and we have produced Tamil versions of public-service films.
How long does a TVC take?
It depends on the idea, casting and locations. Tell us your air date when you send the brief and we will plan backwards from it.
