Case study · The Pekoe Trail
300 km of tea, one story at a time.
The Pekoe Trail is a 22-stage walking trail through Sri Lanka’s central highlands. We were the creative partner for its incubation campaign.
The brief
Slow travel, told well.
300 km across 22 stages of hill country: tea estates, villages and mountain ridges, walked at a human pace.
The Pekoe Trail’s business incubator helps homestays, farms and small businesses along the route reach a new kind of guest: the “slowcationer”, who stays longer. By The Pekoe Trail’s count, 60 small tourism businesses have gone through it.
Creative partner for the incubation campaign. A short film for each business, shot on location and told through its owner, released on The Pekoe Trail’s own channels.
In the press
The trail itself has since been featured by BBC and National Geographic.
